Responsibilities (in order of workflow or workload):
1. Equipment planning
Develop mid-to-long-term equipment plans based on production needs; lead technical requirement assessment, purchase initiation and selection of new equipment; lead installation, commissioning and production ramp-up; conduct equipment acceptance to ensure capacity and process standards are met.
2. Equipment management and maintenance
Maintenance planning: establish equipment maintenance, repair and calibration plans to keep all equipment running normally; respond quickly to major failures to minimize downtime.
Efficiency improvement: continuously raise SMT equipment utilization through optimized usage and maintenance strategies; reduce equipment and parts wear and shorten setup and idle time.
Spare parts management: handle SMT spare-part requisition and inventory management; optimize safety stock, control spare-part consumption and ensure availability for emergencies.
3. Production management and optimization
Plan execution: execute and track SMT production plans and handle abnormalities to meet delivery requirements.
Quality control: control production quality and component scattering rate; analyze and resolve process issues to improve yield.
Capacity optimization: improve capacity and efficiency and reduce production costs through process analysis and machine program optimization.
Process research: continuously optimize equipment performance indicators; organize validation of equipment parameters to meet customer requirements and company interests.
4. Team management and training
Team building: lead and manage the SMT equipment team, including recruitment, training, appraisal and motivation.
Skills training: provide skills training and technical support for SMT equipment personnel.
Communication: coordinate closely with Production, Process, Quality, Project and Planning departments to keep production running smoothly.
5. Safety and environment
Safety: implement equipment safety operating procedures, supervise safe operation, investigate hazards, and establish and enforce safety management rules to keep equipment management compliant with industry and company requirements.
Environment: identify and manage environmental aspects and significant environmental factors within the department to ensure production complies with environmental requirements.
6. Continuous improvement and innovation
Process improvement: continuously optimize NPI and production processes to raise overall operational efficiency.
Innovation: follow industry equipment technology trends; lead retrofits and process optimization of existing equipment to remove bottlenecks and improve automation, intelligence and productivity.
Qualifications:
General:
Open to all genders;
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;
Experience:
5+ years of equipment experience and 3+ years of management experience; familiar with the full automotive electronics production process; experience at major manufacturers preferred;
Skills:
Required knowledge (professional theory, laws and regulations):
1. Understanding of automotive electronics industry processes and system standards;
2. Familiar with production equipment standards in electronics manufacturing;
Required abilities (tools, equipment and essential working skills):
1. Familiar with SMT equipment, including but not limited to printers (MPM/GKG/DEK), pick-and-place machines (Panasonic/ASM/Juki), AOI/SPI (Kohyoung/Holly/TRI, etc.), reflow ovens (ERSA/JT, etc.), selective wave soldering (ERSA/Zhishengwei), and conformal coating/dispensing equipment (Axxon/Hipa/Hetong); expert in equipment repair, maintenance and commissioning, able to resolve all kinds of failures;
2. Understanding of surface-mount component characteristics and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) fundamentals;
3. Familiar with SMT plant auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, nitrogen generators, exhaust-gas treatment and HVAC; expert in selection requirements, maintenance standards, energy management and safety management for such equipment;
4. Management capability: team building (equipment/production teams), production pre-planning (coordinating equipment resources, balancing maintenance plans and efficiency);
