In off-grid or weak-grid areas such as mining areas, islands, fishing villages, grasslands, and deserts with no grid coverage or only weak grid coverage, the PV-storage-diesel system can serve as an independent power supply: photovoltaic power generation during the day, the energy storage system stores excess electricity, and at night or on cloudy/rainy days, the energy storage or diesel generator provides supplementary power. This significantly reduces diesel consumption and improves power supply stability.
