Responsibilities:

1. Mold Design Evaluation

Product Analysis and Manufacturability Evaluation: Receive product drawings (2D/3D), BOM lists, and customer technical requirements; conduct in-depth analysis of product structure, material characteristics (such as different forming materials like injection, stamping, die-casting), and forming process difficulties; conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation to identify potential issues in mold design and production, and propose product structure optimization suggestions to R&D or customers.

Mold Solution Development: Based on product requirements, production volume, forming equipment parameters, and cost budget, develop a reasonable mold design solution, clarifying core design directions such as mold type (e.g., single-cavity/multi-cavity mold, hot-runner/cold-runner mold, two-color/multi-color mold), number of cavities, parting line position, gate form and position, and ejection method, and output a mold solution review report.

2. Mold Structural Design and Drawing Output

Core Structure Design: Use professional design software (such as UG, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E, etc.) to complete the full 3D structural design of the mold, including core components such as cavities, cores, sliders, lifters, core-pulling mechanisms, gating systems, cooling systems, ejection systems, and guide/locating systems, ensuring smooth operation of each mechanism without interference and meeting product forming precision and production efficiency requirements.

Standard Parts and Auxiliary Material Selection: Based on the mold design solution and usage requirements, reasonably select mold standard parts (such as guide pillars and bushings, ejector pins, springs, limit pins, hot runner components, etc.), mold materials (such as P20, H13, S136, etc.), and auxiliary materials to ensure mold strength, wear resistance, and service life while controlling mold cost.

2D Drawing Preparation and Output: Based on the 3D model, prepare detailed 2D machining drawings, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and exploded views, clarifying the dimensions, tolerances, surface roughness, heat treatment requirements, and machining process descriptions of each part to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and operable, providing a precise basis for mold manufacturing.

Drawing Review and Optimization: Organize or participate in internal mold drawing reviews, and collaborate with process, manufacturing, quality, and other departments to review the machinability, assembly feasibility, and quality controllability of drawings, and optimize mold structural design based on review opinions.

3. Mold Manufacturing Process Technical Support

Manufacturing Process Technical Guidance: Provide technical briefing to the mold manufacturing department (or suppliers), explain drawing requirements and design intent, guide the machining process of key components (such as CNC machining, EDM, WEDM, polishing, etc.), and resolve drawing comprehension or structural adaptation issues during manufacturing.

Machining Process Quality Control: Track the machining progress and quality inspection of key mold components, verify consistency between machining dimensions and drawings, propose rectification suggestions for machining deviations, and ensure mold parts meet design requirements and safeguard mold assembly progress.

Mold Assembly Technical Support: Cooperate with mold assembly work, provide assembly technical guidance, resolve issues such as mechanism interference and poor fit during assembly, and ensure mold assembly precision and motion stability; participate in post-assembly trial inspection to confirm that overall mold performance meets design expectations.

4. Trial Molding Validation and Design Improvement

Participation in Trial Molding Plan Development: Cooperate with process engineers to develop trial molding plans and trial molding process solutions, clarifying trial molding purposes, processes, parameter settings, and inspection focuses, and provide technical support related to mold trial molding.

Trial Molding Process Tracking and Problem Analysis: Track the entire trial molding process, record trial molding data (such as forming parameters, product defects, mold operating status, etc.), analyze mold problems occurring during trial molding (such as flash, shrinkage, sticking, dimensional deviation, mechanism jamming, etc.), distinguish design causes from process causes, and propose targeted mold modification solutions.

Mold Design Optimization and Rectification: Based on trial molding results and customer feedback, optimize and modify the mold structure, improve 2D/3D drawings, track the mold rectification process, and ensure the rectified mold meets product forming requirements; complete the trial molding summary report and archive trial molding-related data and design modification records.

Requirements:

1. Over 5 years of work experience, familiar with the automotive electronics industry;

2. Proficient in mold design principles and related forming processes (such as injection, stamping, die-casting, etc.), and familiar with the requirements of different material forming characteristics on mold design.

3. Proficient in using at least one mainstream 3D design software (UG, SolidWorks, etc.) and 2D drawing software (AutoCAD), with the ability to independently complete the full-process mold design.

4. Strong mold structure analysis and problem-solving abilities, able to quickly identify and resolve technical difficulties in mold design, manufacturing, and trial molding processes.

Familiar with mold manufacturing processes (such as CNC, EDM, WEDM, polishing, etc.), understand mold assembly and debugging processes, and able to provide precise technical support for the manufacturing phase.

Possess good communication and coordination abilities and team spirit, able to effectively conduct cross-department and customer alignment; possess strong written expression ability, able to accurately prepare various technical documents.

Familiar with relevant industry standards and quality management systems (such as ISO9001, IATF 16949), with strong quality awareness and cost control awareness.
